Just a quick reminder that on sunday is the 2011 VRA youth open day. The
weather looks very promissing at this stage, so don't forget the hats, sunglasses
and suntan lotion..
Peter Boren, captain of VRA's first team and of the Dutch national team, has
accepted our invitation and will organize the youth games. John Wories, VRA
Club Chairman will also join and is looking forward to seeing/meeting you all.
10:00 VRA 2011 open day starts - please be on time so we can form the teams and start playing on schedule. Team uniforms and cricket gear will be on sale outside the clubhouse. Please feel free to bring outgrown equipment in good condition you wish to sell or donate
10:15 Youth cricket games start
11:45 Youth cricket games end - we need to leave the field to VRA-I and to the Dutch U23
12:00 Parent-players-club meeting in the Clubhouse
- 2011 competition overview (games start 14 May)
- parent/ players/ club expectations for the season
- proposed VRA teams (to be confirmed by trainer in early May)
- team manager responsibilities (we need a few more volunteers)
- regular training schedule (to be confirmed by trainer after 13 April)
- special trainings schedule (with M Munaf)
- Q&A - parent ideas or initiatives...
13:00 Open day BBQ
- we have asked Paul to plan a simple BBQ lunch
- in order to keep the costs down we decided not to hire staff; please come prepared and help with Bar&BBQ
- lunch costs will be communicated as soon as confirmed
If you have not yet formally become a member, please bring your application form
filled-in so our secretary Hugo Leemhuis can collect the new forms on the day. The pdf

Starting at 12:00, VRA-I will face the Dutch Lions U23 for the first game of
the season - so please come prepared to enjoy a good game of cricket...
