Fit4Cricket Youth Camp
VRA ontving onderstaand bericht over de onlangs opgerichte, onafhankelijke Amsterdam Cricket School. Eind april, voorafgaand aan de start van de competitie, organiseren zij een jeugdkamp voor Jeugd van 9 tot 16 jaar op de velden van ACC.
Zelfs zonder crickerervaring ben je van harte welkom en kun je veel van facetten van de sport leren, dus neem vooral vriendjes mee als je van plan bent hier naartoe te gaan. Lees voor meer informatie onderstaande brief.

Last week saw the official launch of the Amsterdam Cricket School (ACS). ACS is an independent cricket school set up to help foster the game of cricket, not only in the wider Amsterdam area, but in the Netherlands as a whole.
The aims of ACS are:
- to organise comprehensive cricket camps and courses in conjunction with clubs;
- to organise tailored classes to accommodate all skill levels, with emphasis on fun and attainment of cricket skills;
- to bring together a high-profile list of top coaches and make them easily available to a wider audience;
- to create a platform where young, aspiring coaches can learn the trade from the senior coaches.
The ACS is organising its first camp at the ACC from 30th of April to 2nd of May
For kids that attend school on the first two days of the camp, it is perfectly possible to attend just the last day (Saturday).
The camp will feature some of the most outstanding coaches in the Netherlands, to name some:
- Ahmad Zulfiqar - ACC head coach and KNCB youth coach
- Roland Lefebvre - KNCB high performance manager
- Roelof van der Merwe - South-African international and Titans player of the year.
- Mangaliso Mosehle - Titans wicket-keeper
- Paul van Meekeren - Dutch international (fast-bowler)
- Peter Borren - Captain of the Dutch national team
- Peter Seelaar - Dutch international (left-arm orthodox)
- Stephan Myburgh - Dutch international (left-hand bat)
- Tom Heggelman - Dutch international (right-arm medium)
And many other excellent Topklasse players will make their appearance!
A unique feature of the camp will be the availability of masterclasses. These classes will be 'one-to-one' (allowing you to zoom in on very specific skills) and run by one of the top cricket names above. The masterclass slots are strictly limited though and will be allocated on a 'first-come-first-served' basis. So, don't wait with signing up!
