On behalf of the VRA board and the coaching staff I wish you all a great season!
The nets will be prepared in the build-up day on April 6, after which they will be available for independent practice of VRA members. Be aware that all practice outside the times mentioned above, as determined by the Board, and which is not led by VRA’s professional coaching staff at your own risk.
All members will practice only with their appointed team and are not to join the practice of other teams without the consent of the coaching staff.
Be aware: practice will never be cancelled unless the Board, in consultation with the head coach (Peter Borren), decides otherwise. In case of bad weather conditions, practice will not take place in the nets, but in the VRA pavilion where the coaches will focus on the tactical aspects and general knowledge of cricket. VRA will ensure that each team has a practice session at least once a week, led by our coaching staff. If you do not show up without notice, you’ll hurt your team members as well as the coach, who will have to adapt his training program, and the club, because of the unnecessary paid coaching. Of course you also disadvantage yourself. For determining the team lineups for the league games, attendance at practice will be taken into account.
In the case that your team fails to attend practice with enough players, without prior notice or consultation of the coach, the Board will take fitting measures. This may include cancelling practice for your team.
During Youth practice, parents are welcome to wait for their child at the pavilion or on the terrace. We emphasize that parents are expected not to be near the nets during practice.
