Bereikbaarheid / Accessibility VRA

Graag wijzen wij u er op dat de gebruikelijke routes naar VRA sinds begin dit jaar in ere hersteld zijn. Wat heet, we worden omringd door prachtige, vers aangelegde wandel- en fietspaden. Het bruggetje vanaf de grote parkeerplaats Emmakade is voorzien van nieuwe fundering en weer veilig begaanbaar.

Ook de bewegwijzering in het Bos is aangepast, met dank aan het Amsterdamse Bos. Op alle borden staat nu VRA Cricket waar voorheen alleen VRA vermeld werd, hetgeen ons complex nu voor veel (buitenlandse) bezoekers beter vindbaar maakt.

Geen autoverkeer
Dit alles houdt in dat de regelgeving in het Bos weer streng gehandhaafd wordt. Dat betekent, ook voor diegene die dat nog niet beseffen, dat de toegangspaden zoals gezegd uitsluitend voor wandelaars en fietsers bestemd zijn, zoals de borden ook aangeven. Het is dus NIET toegestaan hier met auto’s te rijden! U riskeert een boete van €105. Dat u regelmatig toch enkele auto’s aan de achterzijde van de hal ziet staan komt omdat deze auto’s over een ontheffing beschikken, met de nieuwbouw te maken hebben of moeten laden dan wel lossen. Auto’s die onrechtmatig op VRA-terrein parkeren riskeren het terrein niet meer te kunnen verlaten wanneer het hek wordt afgesloten.

Parkeren
Voor iedereen die VRA bezoekt voor trainingen, wedstrijden of evenementen geldt dat er geparkeerd dient te worden in de parkeervakken langs de Nieuwe Kalfjeslaan of op een van de omringende parkeerterreinen. De meest logische plek is de grote parkeerplaats aan het eind van de Nieuwe Kalfjeslaan. Van daar is het slechts een paar honderd meter lopen naar onze hoofdingang.

Fietsen en scooters
Aan de achterzijde van het clubhuis en crickethal (te bereiken via de achteringang) zijn fietsenrekken geplaatst. Het is dan ook de bedoeling dat alle fietsen of scooters van leden of bezoekers hier worden geparkeerd. Dus niet meer voor of naast het clubhuis en ook niet bij de ingang van de tennisclub en de kooi. Verkeerd geparkeerde fietsen worden verplaatst. En dan nog iets: het is logischerwijs streng verboden om over het gras te fietsen, iets dat vorig seizoen helaas regelmatig gebeurde.

A few important points about accessibility VRA

No car traffic in the Bos
Traffic regulations in the Amsterdamse Bos are again strictly enforced. This means, even for those who are not yet aware of this, that the access paths are exclusively intended for walkers and cyclists, as the road signs indicate. It is therefore NOT allowed to drive here with cars! You risk a fine of €105. The fact that you regularly see a few cars at the rear of the cricket hall is because these cars have an exemption, have to do with the new construction works or have to load or unload. Cars that park illegally on the VRA site risk being unable to leave the site when the gate is locked.

Parking
Anyone who visits VRA for training sessions, competitions or events must park in the parking spaces along Nieuwe Kalfjeslaan or in one of the surrounding car parks. The most logical place is the large parking lot Emmakade at the end of Nieuwe Kalfjeslaan. From there it is only a short walk to our main entrance.

Bicycles and scooters
Bicycle racks have been placed at the rear of the clubhouse and cricket hall (accessible via the rear entrance). It is therefore the intention that all bicycles or scooters of members or visitors are parked here. So no longer in front of or next to the clubhouse and also not at the entrance of the tennis club and the nets. Incorrectly parked bicycles will be removed. And then something else: it is strictly forbidden to cycle on the grass, something that unfortunately happened regularly last season.
